Tryout Schedule

Players need to attend all tryout sessions listed next to their age group, as we will evaluate different
skills during each tryout session.  If you have a conflict with other club tryouts, please email us and we

What to doHow to do it
1. Fill out the BAVA tryout registration form.Click here  (registration will open in September 2012 for the 2013 season)

2. Pay the BAVA tryout registration fee ($TBD)

Registration must be done by a parent on behalf of your daughter.  Have your credit card and parent's drivers license available. 

To participate in tryouts, you may choose the Full Season Membership or the One Event Membership:

Full Season Membership
The "full season" membership cost is $45.  Please complete the registration steps all the way to the end.  You must get to the point where your CHRVA card is generated, if you don't see a card, keep going!  Your CHRVA# (ex: CH0000000FJ12) will be needed on the top of your Player Profile form.

If you do not make a team, $25 of the full membership cost can be refunded by CHRVA.  Refunds will be disbursed January 15, 2012 through April 1, 2012, no exceptions.  Email Barb Cline, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   to initiate a reimbursement (include player name, birthdate, and membership number in the email).  Refunds will be sent via check.

One Event Membership
If you prefer to just register with CHRVA for tryouts, you can choose the "one event" registration with a cost of $20.  This will cover all of your tryout sessions, choose 11/12/11 as your date.  If you are selected for a team, you will need to log back in and upgrade to the full season (additional $25).  If you choose this option, a CHRVA card and number will not be generated, just a confirmation page.  Please bring this confirmation page to tryouts.

5. Bring all the items listed to the right to tryouts

* a parent must attend tryouts with you for registration purposes

* copy of your birth certificate

* BAVA tryout paperwork (from step #3 above)

* copy of your CHRVA registration card or confirmation page
(generated from step #4 above)

* Cash or check to pay your deposit.  Click here for an explaination of the deposit. 
   The amount is $400 for teams ages 13-18, $250 for 12 and under teams.

BAVA Juniors Club Philosophy:
Bay Area Volleyball Academy is a non-profit Junior Olympic Volleyball club that is dedicated to providing an exceptional developmental and competitive volleyball experience for female players in Anne Arundel County and the surrounding counties.
